Ingredients;
2 medium onion grated
,6 cloves garlic crushed,
2 large tomatoes chopped,
1tbsp grated ginger,
1 1/2tsp red chilli powder,
1 level tsp salt,
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
,3/4 tsp turmeric powder(haldi),
2tbsp chopped cashewnuts,
2tbsp poppy seeds(khas khas)
.Ground all the above ingredients to a paste.,
2 tbsp cream
,4tbsp ghee,
chopped fresh corriander for garnishing .
Method;
Heat oil in a frying pan.Fry the onions until transparent.Stir and add ginger and garlic.Fry till they turn light brown in colour.Add the tomatoes,turmeric and chillies.Stir for a min or two.Keep stirring while u add the cashew,poppy seeds paste and stir-fry until the ghee begins to separate.Pour 1 1/2 to 2 cups of water.Cover and simmer fro 10-15 min. Note; Add the vegetables/paneer now.Cook uncovered on low heat until the veg are cooked and the gravy thickens.Garnish with cream and corriander leaves just before serving.
