Ingredients;
1 kg karela,
70gms dry coconut powder.
50gms kishmish
,70gms cashewnuts
,150gm sev,
250gms sugar,
2tsp turmeric powder
,1tsp hing
,2tsp jeera,
7-8 curry leaves,
2tsp red chilly powder
,salt to taste
,250ml water
,80ml oil.
Method;
Peel,slit,remove seeds and cut karela in 1 cm strips.In a vessel,add water,turmeric,salt and karela.Boil till done.Make a syrup with 250ml water and sugar.Add the karelas to the syrup and cook till the water evaporates.Heat oil in a vessel,temper with jeera,hing,turmeric pow,curry leaves,karela,coconut powder,sev,cashewnuts,kishmish,red chilli powder.Mix and cook for 2 min.Garnish with coriander leaves.
