Ingredients;
1/2 cup chana dal,
1 cup boiled rice,
1/2 tsp hing powder,
5green chillies,
1tsp jeera ,
1 tsp saunf
,1/4 grated coconut,
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves,
1/4 cup curry leaves,
oil for making adai,
salt to taste,
. Method;
Soak the chana dal and rice in water separately overnight.Grind all the masalas-jeera,saunf,chillies,hing powder together.Separately grind the dal coarsely.Then grind the rice finely and mix the spices,dal and rice together.The consistency of the batter should be little thicker than the dosa batter.To the batter add the coconut,corriander leaves and curry leaves.Spread the batter on the tawa like a dosa. Pour some oil-poring oil little liberally will make the adai more tasty and crispy-and cook on a medium flame.Once the adai turns a little brown, turn it and roasted on the other side also.Eat it plain or along with coconut chutney or avial.
