Ingredients;
2cups grated khoya or mawa,
1 cup sugar,
1/4 cup milk,
3-4 strings of saffron(kesar),
elaichi(cardamom)powder 1/2 tsp,
pistachios chopped for garnishing.
Method;
Heat pan on a medium high.Add mawa and sugar and fry till sugar gets dissolved and mixture becomes soft.Now mix saffron in a milk and microwave for 20 sec or u can add saffron in hot milk.Add saffron milk to the mawa mixture and keep stirring until the mixture becomes thick.Add elaichi powder and pour this mixture on a greased tray or thali.Let it cool down completely.Cut burfi into pieces and garnish with chopped pistachios.
