Onion tomato gravy

Ingredients;

3 medium onions,chopped,
 3cloves garlic,chopped,
1/2 inch piece ginger,chopped
,1/2 cup tomato paste
,2tbsp yoghurt,
salt to taste,
water and ghee.

Make a paste of;
1 tsp cumin seeds,
1tsp coriander seeds,
3-4 dry(kashmiri)chillies,
3 cloves,
7peppercorns,
3/4 tsp turmeric.

Method;

Dry roast cumin,coriander,red chillies,cloves,peppercorns and turmeric on a tawa/frying pan and then grind with a little water to make a paste.Heat ghee or oil in a pan.Fry onions and garlic until brown in colour.Add ground spices and ginger.Fry until the oil begins to separate.Add tomato paste,yoghurt and salt.Keep frying,stirring continously.After a few min,add enough warm water to make a gravy.Cook for 8-10 min. Note; u can add vegetables in it.
